Desigualdades educacionais à luz da Covid-19: disparidades do meio rural e urbano

The main objective of this article is to address issues related to inequality currently present in the Brazilian educational system, given the great plurality of socioeconomic characteristics and personal environments of the students, this scenario has been aggravated by the Covid-19 Pandemic from mid-March 2020. Thus, the conditions before and after the virus appearance and the most sensitive points affected by the disease are presented, based on national education historical data and recent data obtained through the PNAD Covid-19. The pandemic scenario greatly limits human contact and creates a great demand for technological and digital resources. It is evident then, the low perspective of maintenance student’s formal education from urban areas and even more from rural areas, due to restrictions such as internet access, electronic devices, teacher’s training, and government support to make the resources viable.
