Crédito rural e seu impacto no ambiente macroeconômico brasileiro: uma análise do efeito do PRONAF sobre a inflação, produção e emprego do país no período recente

Abstract

The National Program for Strengthening Family Agriculture (PRONAF), during its twenty-two years of existence, has been established as one of the agricultural policy programs of great importance due to the amount of resources made available and the number of people served. Given its scope and its prominence, the main objective of this study is to evaluate the impacts of the credit provided by such program on inflation, output and employment of the Brazilian economy, for the period from 2013 to August 2018. For that, the methodology of estimation by Autoregressive Vectors (VAR) was applied to bivariate systems, indicating that PRONAF has a considerable participation in the movement of the product of the economy, but not in formal rural jobs. does not cause significant changes in food inflation.
